Stan Collymore already predicting big things from Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United next season

Leeds United ticked off another game in their promotion quest on Saturday, when they eased to a 4-0 win over struggling Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The Tigers trashing was their fourth win in a row, coming after a trio of 1-0 victories, as their early 2020 slump has truly come to an end.

A defeat for Championship leaders West Brom at home to Wigan means that Marcelo Bielsa's men are just a point off top spot, with Fulham trailing five points behind the Whites in third.

There are now ten games to go and former England and Liverpool striker Stan Collymore so confident over Leeds' ability to get over the line, that he is already looking for positives next season.

"Leeds took a step closer to their long-overdue return to the Premier League this week - and I'm putting my marker down early," he writes in his column in our sister title the Sunday People.

"With the way they operate under manager Marcelo Bielsa and fewer games to play, they are going to surprise one or two people next season. You mark my words."

Collymore backed Leeds for promotion at the start of the season and his belief is shared by the bookmakers, with Leeds heavily odds-on with very bookmaker to be celebrating in May.
