The travel company said bus drivers are "part of the lifeblood of the local community" and are offering roles that would see drivers get to meet lots of people.
It said being a bus driver means: "You’ll make sure that Sarah gets to her university lectures on time.
"You’ll say hello to James on his way to the hospital to see his new baby boy. You’ll help Vikram get to his first day at his new job."
With competitive salaries on offer, Stagecoach is looking to hire people in Wigan and Chester, for those who could travel further afield.

The Wigan role, for a qualified bus driver, is 38 hours per week and offers a training rate of £8.85 and then £12.54 after training.
The contract is permanent and the ideal candidate will have a driving licence with no more than six points.
Two grade C GCSEs are also essential.
The job will see the driver and their partner offered free bus travel and a "skill for life," Stagecoach said.
Stagecoach said: "You’re not stuck at a desk, your boss isn’t stood over you. You’re out and about, trusted to look after our customers and enjoy yourself at the same time. It’s just like being your own boss in fact."

Stagecoach are also taking on an apprentice bus driver in Chester.
The job advert said applicants only need one year of work experience, but doesn't specify what kind of work.
The same benefits as above are offered, although it is unclear what the pay is.
