Staffordshire pub company set to recruit 60 new staff ahead of opening of latest venue

Around 60 jobs will be up for grabs when a Staffordshire pub company starts to recruit for its latest venue.

Parogon Group has revealed that dozens of full and part-time kitchen and front-of-house positions will be up for grabs at The Broughton Arms, near Betley, ahead of its opening in August.

The new pub - which is the eighth in the Parogon Group portfolio - is currently undergoing a major transformation.

Work includes the demolition of an existing function room, toilets and outbuildings and the introduction of a new 360-degree bar, a dining space for 120 guests, new toilet facilities and a state-of-the-art kitchen.

The venue is expected to welcome its first customers at the end of August with the recruitment process being launched a few months prior to the opening.

Managing director of the Parogon Group, Richard Colclough said: "Following Parogon’s plan to acquire iconic sites, the Broughton Arms was identified as a hugely popular venue with so many loyal followers from all over the region.

"We felt it was time to expand the geographical reach of Parogon and after seeing the potential that the Broughton Arms had at bringing a contemporary and stylish dining experience, it was an obvious decision to move into South Cheshire.

"Now we are ready to hit the ground running with the approved plans to expand and modernise The Broughton Arms and we can’t wait to welcome diners, especially our many loyal customers, into our latest addition for an incredible and new dining experience."

The Broughton Arms is the latest venue joining the Parogon Group’s repertoire.

Other pubs which make up the Parogon Group's pubs include The Swan With Two Necks and The Orange Tree, in Newcastle-under-Lyme,  The Wayfarer in Stone, Blockhouse at The Sheet Anchor in Baldwin's Gate, The Boars Head in Nantwich, The Seven Stars in Stafford and The Red House in Lilleshall.
