Staffordshire PR company stretches its legs to take on first employee

A Staffordshire PR company has taken on its first employee – after two-and-a-half years of expansion.

Legs PR – which already has a team of associates – has won two new contracts with Crewe-based Centegra and Kinetic Academy, in Stoke-on-Trent.

Now 20-year-old Charlotte Yorke has joined the business as a PR assistant as the firm gears up for further growth.

The new recruit comes at a time when the company is realigning its business into two distinct arms – PR and media and communications and training.

Company founder Tamsin Parker said: "In our second year we nearly doubled both our turnover and profit, and we want to continue to grow.

"As we head towards our third birthday it feels the perfect time to add to our fantastic team of experts and employ a PR assistant who has already hit the ground running.

"Charlotte joined us on work placement and has already added value, so I’ve created a position especially for her. It’s good timing for us as the company is going through a period of transformation.

"We have always delivered media training in-house to companies, but are being asked more and more by clients to support and train businesses with digital content and social media."

Charlotte said: "I am delighted to have joined Legs PR. I knew fairly early on in my degree studies that I wanted to work in PR, and Tamsin gave me the perfect opportunity.

"I can’t wait to get more involved and see where my PR journey takes me."
