Staffies reunited with owner after escaping and going on local bus tour

Two runaway staffies have been reunited with their owner after being taken on an adventure around Fife on a local bus by the quick-thinking driver of the vehicle.

Relieved owner Claire Brown explained on a local Facebook group, Fife Jammer Locations, that the mischievous pair had escaped from the front door of her house.

Following their breakout, the younger dog, a pup of only 10 months old, ran out in front of a Moffat and Willimson bus.

Luckily driver Darren stopped the vehicle in time and called the police, who reportedly were unable to collect the dogs unless he dropped them off.

Unable to drop the pair of pooches with the police due to having to operate the bus, quick-thinking Darren shared images of the dogs on Fife Jammer Locations and took them on his bus route with him - keeping them safe and warm until someone could identify them.

Sharing the story on the group to the 312 keen followers of the thread, owner Claire Brown said: "Thanks to Facebook people from the village recognised them as ours - I'm now at the bus station waiting for Darren to pull in.

"They'll be pulling up in 10 minutes time."

"The driver is a true hero in this. His mate was gonna come over from Dundee to take dogs to police station cause he couldn't.

"Plus when he spoke to me on phone he was like "not being funny but tell me something about them". Making sure that I was their owner and not just trying to claim them."
