Jacob Murphy, Paul Dummett and Kell Watts have already returned to Newcastle United's training ground to start preparing for the new campaign.
The club released photographs of the trio working in the gym on Friday morning - two-and-a-half weeks before the players are due back at Benton for testing.
While the squad were encouraged to have some time off following the final game of the season, against Fulham, they were also handed individual programmes to follow.

The players all know what is around the corner next month; Steve Bruce likes to work his players hard during pre-season, challenging them to run 1,500 metres as fast as they can in those first days back, for example.
Regardless of whether Newcastle end up jetting off to Bruce's favoured facility, at the Penina Hotel & Golf Resort in the Algarve, or the Magpies return to Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate in York, the players will be doing a lot of running this summer.
Perhaps, it is not a surprise, then, that Watts is already getting himself ready for the new campaign; Jamaal Lascelles revealed the the 21-year-old 'blew everyone out of the water' during the running sessions last summer.
Murphy, too, also caught the eye in training following a productive loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and the 26-year-old soon nailed down a place in Bruce's Premier League squad.
ChronicleLive understands that Newcastle hope to tie Murphy down to a long-term contract, particularly after the wide man made the right wing-back spot his own during the run-in.
