Staff threatened in robbery at Co-op store

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a Co-op in Long Eaton.

The raid happened at the College Street store at 10.30pm on Sunday, June 23.

A man entered the store, threatened staff and demanded cash.

Staff handed over an undisclosed amount of money and he left the store, turning left into College Street.

The robber is described as white. He was wearing a dark jacket, grey jogging bottoms and silver-coloured trainers.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has information that could be of use to the investigation.

They are particularly keen to hear from drivers with dash-cam footage that might have caught the robber on camera at around the time of the robbery.

They ask that any footage that may be relevant is downloaded and kept securely for officers to view.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 101, quoting the reference 19*325103 in any correspondence.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
