Staff threatened as thief makes off with cash and cigarettes in Glasgow garage raid

A three-figure sum of cash was stolen during a service station robbery in Glasgow.

Police were alerted to the incident at MFG Milady on Great Western Road in the Anniesland area of the city at around 4am this morning.

Staff inside the service station were threatened before a quantity of cigarettes and money were stolen.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland : “Around 4 am on Tuesday, 5 May, 2020, a man entered the MFG Milady Service Station, Great Western Road, Glasgow.

"He threatened the staff member and made off with a three-figure sum of cash and quantity of cigarettes.

"A man has been arrested in connection with the robbery and enquiries are continuing."
