Staff members test positive for coronavirus at Nottingham estate agents

Members of staff at a Nottingham estate agency firm tested positive for coronavirus in consecutive weeks, the company has confirmed.

Two employees at Your Move, based in St Peter's Gate in the city centre, have been affected.

The Nottingham branch is independently owned and operated by franchisee company National Home Move.

Regional director Paul Neary said both staff members were working alone when their symptoms were noticed.

The branch was temporarily shut for a deep clean and has since reopened.

Mr Neary said: “We can confirm that two members of staff have tested positive for the coronavirus.

"On the 13th and 21st January respectively.

"Both, on identifying their symptoms, were working in branch on their own and immediately gained a test and self-isolated.

"Two remaining members of staff had tests on 14th January and chose to self-isolate. Neither tested positive.

"In view of the circumstances the branch was temporarily closed for a deep clean to be conducted and customers supported remotely by a neighbouring branch and by staff who were working from home.

"We confirm that the branch is now open and continues to operate a Covid-19 secure environment, with regular cleaning and monitoring in place to ensure full adherence to all government guidelines, with appointment only visits allowed.“

On Wednesday (January 27) a further 496 people tested positive for Covid-19 across the county in the previous 24 hours.
