Staff cut-backs at Getty photo agency

The global photographic agency, Getty, is cutting jobs, including a number of senior figures in its New York office. At least 28 staff in the US are set to go in a restructuring plan following poor financial returns for the company and a sagging share price. The London office is also to have a "small reduction in headcounts", according to Getty spokeswoman Allison Crombie. As the world's leading photo licensing agency Getty is regarded as a barometer of industry trends. (Via Photo District News)
