Staff create huge gingerbread replica of iconic Grand Central Hotel and station

There are few things more festive than the sight of a cute wee gingerbread house at Christmas time.

But the staff at Grand Central Hotel clearly live by the mantra of 'go big or go home' and have created one of the most impressive gingerbread structure we think we've ever seen.

The enormous building bake depicts a very festive scene at the hotel and Central Station - and they haven't skimped on the detail.

With everything from a railway track and train going round the building to tiny signs pointing to places like Aberdeen and Ben Nevis to Santa and his reindeer in the sky, this gingerbread house is almost literally to pretty to eat.

ScotRail shared the masterpiece over on Twitter so we could all appreciate the hard work that went into the gingerbread version of one of Glasgow's most famous buildings.

We tip our hats to you, Grand Central Hotel. That's some effort!
