Staff at Temple Street Children's Hospital alerted Gardai over concerns for the welfare of a baby boy.
On Wednesday morning, August 14, staff at the Dublin hospital reported concerns to gardai over welfare of the child who had attended the hospital for treatment.
The infant boy is continuing to receive medical treatment at the hospital this morning.
A spokesman for the Gardai told Dublin Live that they "are currently investigating all the circumstances of this incident."
