Staff at Rodley beauty salon robbed at knifepoint

Police are trying to track down the man who threatened staff at a Leeds beauty salon with a knife during a terrifying robbery.

He confronted them in Spa Adelena, in Town Street, Rodley and told them to hand over money from the till and their handbags, at around 3.50pm on Tuesday, February 25.

He took cash from one member of staff and fled from the salon before running along Bagley Lane, Rodley.

He has been described as a white man, who is around 50-years-old, with dark stubble and a grey fringe.

His face was partially covered and he was seen wearing a dark-coloured lightweight raincoat and black jeans.

West Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses and information about the robbery, as officers search for the man.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13200100444 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
