Stadium staff carted out Georgia’s SEC Championship gear at the start of the 4th quarter

The Georgia Bulldogs had themselves a rough go at Saturday’s SEC title game against LSU. Early on, everything that could go wrong for Georgia seemingly did, and that carried well into the second half with Joe Burrow’s dominant performance.

Georgia was trailing by 31 points at the start of the fourth quarter, which evidently had the staff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium ready to give up on any chance of Georgia’s SEC championship celebration in Atlanta.

The game was so lopsided that the championship gear started getting carting out of the stadium at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This was the scene in the stadium tunnel.

Just … ouch.

Obviously, a 31-point comeback in the fourth quarter would have been miraculous. But it just goes to show how poorly the Bulldogs looked that those in charge of the championship gear weren’t even willing to wait it out another five minutes. Georgia ended up losing, 37-10.

But hey, good on the person who asked for one of those shirts. It was worth a try.
