Now, French outlet Foot Mercato is claiming the 25-year-old's club wouldn't be against the idea of cashing in if they could back a decent sum.
Martin O'Neill was quizzed on the link this week and appeared to play it down.
"I haven't read the things, but there are so many players that have been mentioned," O'Neill said.
"Even my board members are saying, 'Who are they?' I just can't keep confirming or denying every single player."
