Stacey Solomon unveils results of first makeover project on new mansion

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash recently moved into a new mansion and they are eager to put their own stamp on the pad.

DIY lover Stacey, 31, has been busy at work to ensure the home is designed to her liking and over the weekend she began transforming the conservatory - despite only moving in earlier in the week.

The Loose Women presenter ensured she showcased her handiwork on her Instagram Stories as she covered the dated sun-rooms ceramic tiled flooring with new on-trend wood style tiles crafted out of laminate.

Stacey explained that she enrolled the help of professionals for the flooring overhaul but added that she got involved where she could - including on her hands and knees to lay the flooring atop of mastic - and added photos as evidence of her renovation skills.

Explaining the process, Stacey typed told her fans: "I found it soooo therapeutic to watch, then I just wanted to have a go - so I did!"

She added: "I got a bit carried away and didn't want to stop, hopefully I didn't ruin it."

The mother-of-three then posted the before and after snaps to reveal how the simple flooring swap transformed the stained-glass window room.

Opening up on her plans for the space, she then told that she is going to take the fan off the ceiling, as she said: "Now all I've got to do is rip this off, I might even do that now.

"I want to put some kind of seating around the edges but very thin, with some storage.

"And then I'm going to get some windows that have wood instead of the black metal so it looks French. Oh my god, I love it!"

Stacey and husband-to-be Joe, who will marry this summer, initially thought it was "too good to be true" when their "forever home" came on the market within their price range.

Stacey also explained that they had been hoping to move away from the bustle of the city and settle somewhere closer to their family.

Luckily, they managed to find the perfect home, and have now settled down in Pickle Cottage.

As well as a stunning pool, the property also boasts its own hot tub but there is lots of work that needs to be done in order to create their perfect home.

Stacey has also vowed to share updates with her followers and plenty of sneak peeks around the stunning property.
