A new parenting advice club is giving away 15,000 baby grows as part of a drive to end negative behaviour and help ease pressures on new parents.
TV presenter and reality star Stacey Solomon has joined C&G baby club, an online community providing advice for new and expecting parents, to launch the #LoveDontJudge campaign to raise awareness of the impact of parental judgement.
The initiative follows research revealing that four in five parents have felt judged when asked about their child’s food choices (67 per cent) and sleeping routines (55 per cent).
Half of parents polled felt particularly criticised for juggling work and childcare during lockdown, and almost two thirds (56 per cent) felt under the spotlight over their child’s screen time.
Mum-of-three Stacey said: "I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of negativity and wish there was more love than judge online.
"It’s so important for parents to find out what works for them and their babies – it’s about trusting your instincts."
The club will be giving away 15,000 limited edition ‘Love Don’t Judge’ printed babygrows to new members during the next three months.
Tom Hickton, head of brand at C&G baby club, commented: "Over half of parents we spoke to still think it is normal to be criticised for their parenting style.
"Even when things feel uncertain, we want parents to know they should always trust their instincts."
Demand for judgement-free parental advice surged during lockdown, with C&G baby club experiencing a huge uplift in calls to its free 24-hour Careline.
In response, C&G baby club has partnered with charity Family Action, to host a series of online parent-to-parent support groups.
David Holmes CBE, chief executive, Family Action, added: "For any parent who needs support, has a question that needs answering or just wants an adult conversation, feel free to join our free online support groups or to contact a member of the C&G baby club or Family Action care teams for judgement-free advice."
