Stacey Solomon struggling to ‘keep head above water’ as Joe Swash leaves for two weeks

Stacey Solomon admitted that she’s “trying to keep her head above water” while parenting her four kids solo for two weeks without husband Joe Swash.

The Loose Women star shares daughter Rose and two-year-old son Rex with Swash, as well as Zach, 14, and Leighton, 10, from her previous relationships. Swash also has son Harry from a previous relationship.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 32-year-old explained that her other half was on location filming CBBC’s The Dengineers so was holding the fort alone.

In the clip, Solomon could be seen cradling her 10-month-old daughter as she revealed she was trying to make it “all work” without Swash by her side.

She told her followers: “It’s been an interesting week. Joe’s gone away for two weeks so I’ve been trying to get into the swing of it all around work without him.

“It’s just us at the minute so I am just trying to keep my head above the water.”

The Sort Your Life Out host explained she was feeling the pressure even more so as she coordinated visits to potential secondary school’s for her son Leighton.

Solomon continued: “This week I had to book all of his open day appointments, applications, and do walk arounds.

“One school I had to sit in and queue at a certain time and try to book a slot to go and see it before slots ran out.

She jokingly added: “I felt like I was booking Coachella or something”.

Solomon’s other half Swash is currently away filming CBBC’s The Dengineers after replacing the show’s previous host Joe Tracini.

The former EastEnders actor joins existing host Meryl Fernandes fronting the children’s TV show when it returns to screens for its seventh series.

The Dengineers sees a production team design different themed dens and the upcoming series will kick off with a Strictly Come Dancing themed playhouse for a super-fan of the BBC ballroom stalwart.

Other den transformations include a Shakespearean-themed den alongside a rollercoaster playhouse, crochet-inspired space and orangutan den.
