Stacey Solomon shocks fans by adopting 'wild' cat after leaving family pet behind

Stacey Solomon has revealed she's taken in a 'wild' cat at her new house, after admitting the family had to say goodbye to their old cat when they moved.

The Loose Women star, partner Joe Swash and their children upped sticks to a huge Tudor-style mansion in the heart of the Essex countryside this week.

Stacey has been busy sharing updates on their dreamy new abode as she sets to work on transforming the property into a cosy family home.

After showing off the swimming pool, outhouse and incredible views, in her latest post Stacey showed off another unexpected perk of her new home - an adorable black cat.

The mum admitted she was delighted to take in the 'wild' moggy after having to leave the family's former pet Mitzy behind at their old place.

"We wish we could have brought Mitzy here but he became too settled with his new family down the road who also love him and wanted to take him on," she told fans.

The TV star said she and husband Joe thought it was 'too cruel' to bring Mitzy 'out to the middle of nowhere' when they relocated.

"But things happen in mysterious ways," she added as she shared a picture of son Rex playing with the new feline.

"The lady who lived her before said she took in a wile cat and couldn't catch him to bring him with her.

"So she left some food and asked if we could take care of him if he ever came back. And here he is" cried Stacey.

After sharing some videos of her welcoming the cat to her 'mad house', Stacey was inundated with messages from concerned followers.

She said some Instagram users had slid into her DMs to warn her that the new cat did not look wild at all.

"He's not wild now!" Stacey insisted. "She's been feeding him for years. He ran away when she tried to catch him to take him with her so we've been waiting for him to come back.

"I've been putting food out every night and he's been eating it - unless it's the foxes

"It was so nice to see him in the house this morning. He's so friendly and lovely so hopefully he likes us and stays."

After clearing up the confusion, Stacey revealed she was having new carpets in her conservatory fitted this afternoon.

It comes after the star hired a maintenance team to clear out the disused swimming pool in her garden.
