Stacey Solomon shares transforming cleaning hack for your overflowing drawer

Stacey Solomon is sharing with the nation her simple cleaning hacks to help organise your home.

As part of her Get Sorted With Stacey series on Lorraine, the X Factor singer revealed a drawer bursting with wires and cables and presented her quick and easy hack to tidy them up.

“I don’t care what anyone says, we all have a drawer or basket that looks like this," she said, holding up a basket overflowing with knotted cables and wires.

Stacey starts off by untangling the cables and lying them out in front of her so that she can see what each of them are.

She reminds the viewers that if you have any old cables, like that Nokia 3310 charger you really don’t need, you can phone up computer or phone shops who may take them in and there are also recycling points specifically for electric cables.

Once you have the cables you need, the Loose Women panellist brings out the transforming gadget.

Cable clips can hold your wires in place and have a sticky back to them so you can just stick them straight in the drawer.

She adds that is the cable wires are stiff then she uses cables ties to bunch it together.

Stacey says: “The first time I organised my wire drawer, so many revelations. You don’t need a Nokia 3310 charger from 72 years ago!

“Best way to start is one wire at time, so you can see the wires in front of you and move to the side any obsolete charges that you don’t use anymore.”

Talking about the space saving clips, the Queen of the Jungle adds: “I can hear people at home thinking, I need this in my life!

“Now I can see the heads of every single wire. So I know where they go-do they go to the phone, the playstation, is it a HDMI?

“And I don’t end up just spending two hours just searching for a lead or a cable. And that is it!”

In a Blue Peter 'here's one I made earlier"'fashion, Stacy proudly presents her transformed tidy drawer, with each cable neatly folded and easy to locate.

She later showed off a battery organiser, pointing out that loose batteries can leak and the positive and negatives shouldn't touch if not being used.

Good friend to cleaning addict Mrs Hinch, Stacey has taken to Instagram to show off her cleaning hacks and room transformations as her, her husband Joe Swash and children have recently moved into a new home.

You can get Stacey’s beloved sticky back cable clips from websites such as Amazon and Ebay.
