Stacey Solomon shares important message before taking social media break

Stacey Solomon has shared an important message with her millions of followers before she takes a social media break.

The 31-year-old is an active Instagram user and regularly updates her 4.1m followers with everything from crafting hacks to looking after her three children.

But the Loose Women star told her followers on Monday that she was "putting her phone away" for the day as she made a tribute to Caroline Flack.

Today marks a year since Love Island star Caroline tragically took her own life.

Celebrities and friends including Laura Whitmore and her husband Iain Stirling have been paying tribute today.

One that has been repeatedly shared by fans is a quote Caroline had shared on her Instagram page before her death, which read: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

Stacey shared the quote and wrote: "Good morning. I'm putting my phone away for the day."

She added: "Please Never forget. You're so important and so loved and never alone."

Stacey then shared a number of mental health charities which people can contact if they’re struggling including Samaritans, Mind, Mental Health Mates and Mental Health Foundation.

The former X Factor start also shared a video, showing a jumper from In The Style who has launched a 'Be Kind' range with all profits going to the Samaritans.

Stacey added: "A charity very close to mine and Joe's heart after losing someone very special..."

Joe paid tribute to Caroline last year when he took part in Dancing On Ice.

During the 2020 final, which he eventually won, the former EastEnders actor performed a Charlie Chaplin routine which featured a poster with the words 'Be Kind' as part of the set for the skate.

He said just 24 hours after her tragic death was announced: "Obviously we lost Caroline, and we're going to try and spread the word. We need everyone to be kinder."
