Stacey Solomon shares heartbreaking reason why she only took 3 months maternity leave

Stacey Solomon has told fans why she only took three months maternity leave in an emotional post.

The mum-of-four, 32, gave birth to her first daughter Rose in October last year, but will go back to work next week.

Sharing an adorable video of her feeding her baby on Instagram, Stacey read out a question from a fan that said: "Why do you only get three months maternity leave?"

The Loose Women star replied: "So many of you are messaging me, I know it's not long enough. I could be in this bubble forever.

"But I've got one of those weird jobs and you never know if you're going to get work or not and nothing is guaranteed, so you've just got to make the most of any opportunity that comes along.

"Also a lot of my contracts are 12 months that I squeezed into nine months so I could have the three months off and I don't think I could squeeze them into any less."

Stacey revealed that her first job after having Rose was a shoot for In The Style magazine, which she is doing next week.

She explained: "Ultimately I'm lucky and privileged I've got a job to go back to, let alone I job that I absolutely love."

Stacey also said all her employers had supported her with her breast feeding.

"All of the companies I work for have said they'll support me because I don't want to give it up - I feel like I've worked really hard to get to this point," she said.

The candid star bravely admitted that she was struggling with breastfeeding after Rose was born and while hoping for a "positive journey", the situation was making her feel "sad".

Stacey told her followers that she had been seeking help from breastfeeding experts, after previously admitting to having difficulties when she was feeding her youngest son Rex when he was born.

However just two months later and Stacey was a natural as she explained she 'couldn't believe' how much her daughter was enjoying breast feeding, gushing that she's "so grateful" to have the experiences.

Stacey wrote: "Rose can't get enough of milk today. I think she's having a little growth spurt. She's clinging on for dear life.

"Still can't believe she's enjoying breastfeeding as much as me and every time she goes up in clothes sizes I get so excited."
