Stacey Solomon shares genius way she transformed tattered old bathroom in £1.2m mansion

Stacey Solomon has revealed the budget-friendly way she transformed her old bathroom in her £1.2 million mansion.

She gave the bathroom a quick update by painting the walls blue and adding some white MDF panels and to complete the room, she bought some bits from Dunelm and Primark.

Sticking to the nautical theme, the Loose Women star added gold accessories as well as a £5 Egyptian cotton hand towel, a £10 toilet brush holder, a £12 brass towel ring and a £10 brass toilet roll holder.

She even installed wooden corner shelves she found on Amazon and added some candles and a vase.

Explaining how she installed the shelves, she wrote: "Screw on the base (Screw each screw in a little bit to make sure they're in the right place before screwing them all tightly).

The mum recently explained the process of transforming her vintage bathroom.

Sharing a clip of her working to Instagram, Stacey joked: "I am fully aware of how unnecessarily excited I am, I can't help it. So I'm going to panel the bottom half with these MDF panels and No More Nails.

"And paint the top half a nice blue colour to match the sink."

Stacey continued: "I cut in and painted. I prefer cutting in without tape, I tried both today and I'm neater without tape."

Moving on to the panelling, Stacey added: "Then I put no more nails on the back of the cladding and just put them up trying to make sure I got the grooves in tightly.

"I started from the toilet pipe in here because I couldn't get behind it, so I need to saw two pieces to fit on the ends."

Stacey has been giving great DIY tips and even shared a hack for making a huge feature mirror with Ikea frames.
