Stacey Solomon says she's 'sad' as she adds final touches to baby's nursery after scan

Stacey Solomon has put the final finishing touches to her baby girl’s stunning nursery.

The expectant mum, 31, has been busy preparing her unborn daughter’s room ahead of her arrival in eight weeks time, and in classic Stacey style – she's transformed it to perfection.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, the Loose Women star documented the subtle additions she made to the pink-themed room as she added a gorgeous vintage-themed salmon nursing chair and a matching pink canopy overhead.

Stacey, who is expecting her second child with fiancé Joe Swash, didn’t stop there though as she also added an adorable side table in the shape of a heart and she added her signature style by placing some pretty pink flowers and tiny vases on top.

Proving that she’s the queen of revamping and DIY, Stacey finally topped off her little one’s nursery by placing some adorable frames and trinkets around the cosy space.

The proud mum-of-three shared a glimpse at some of the ornaments on her stories which included a pink rose, some pink Ugg boots, and some adorable rainbow bunting.

If that wasn’t enough, Stacey upped the ante by hanging an artificial flower bed from the ceiling above her little one’s cot.

After the gorgeous nursery was finally completed, Stacey admitted that she felt ‘kind of sad’ that it was all over after she spent weeks on end planning out the girly designs.

“You’re so loved already,” Stacey penned on Instagram.

“I’m kind of sad that it’s all done. Although it means we are closer to having you in here, which is so exciting. And you know mummy will probably never stop adding bits,” she added.

Stacey’s incredible nursery makeover comes after the expectant mum admitted that she was relieved when a nurse told her her baby was perfectly healthy after she became concerned when other people told her that her bump was very small.

She went for the scan this weekend and was relieved to find out her baby is exactly right size.

Stacey shared the update on Instagram, apologising to her followers for being absent for a couple of days.

She wrote: "Sorry I've been so quiet. We've spent the weekend checking in on princess pickle.

"All is OK and we got to see her this morning to double check everything.

"Feeling so grateful that she's happy, comfy and safe in there.”

Stacey went on to share a scan picture of her baby and mention her bump size, admitting she was concerned all might not be well.

She wrote: "Lots of people have said my bump is very small, and it really is measuring at 2% instead of 20%.

"But thankfully baby is exactly where she needs to be today despite my tummy size. Every pregnancy, every bump and every baby is different."

The star also insisted that people should stop commenting on pregnant women's baby bumps as the remarks made her extremely fearful.

She added: "As kind as people are I think sometimes it's important to remember when telling someone they look 'big' or 'small' or anything inbetween it can be so worrying for the mummy growing a human and why they look so different to someone else.

"And can be really scary. I know people don't mean any harm by saying 'you're so petite and tiny' but it definitely has played on my mind a lot and made me worry.”
