Stacey Solomon says she is heartbroken after death of family dog as famous friends rush to support her

TV personality Stacey Solomon has shared the sad news that her dog Theo has died, as she posted a heartfelt tribute to Instagram.

The Loose Women star owned her little Pomeranian-Chihuahua-mix dog Theo for 11 years and is clearly heartbroken by the loss. You can read more Showbiz news here.

Taking to Instagram she posted an emotional tribute to Theo using pictures of the dog with her and her children. She said: "Our hearts are broken. Yesterday at home in our arms we had to say goodnight to our Theo. 11 wonderful years."

Stacey went on to say that her lap feels "empty" and thanked Theo for his role in her family. She said: "Thank you for everything Theo. For protecting me and the boys when we needed it most. For loving us no matter what."

The star also thanked Theo for "holding on" to meet her "little sister Rose" as Stacey gave birth to her first baby daughter, Rose earlier this year.

She also said her sons Rex, Zachary and Leighton would always remember Theo and finished the tribute with: "To the moon and back Theo. Forever. Sleep tight my beautiful little lady."

Many of Stacey's celebrity pals sent their sympathy on the post including fellow Loose Women Ruth Langsford and former pop star Alexandra Burke. Alexandra said: "Awwww I'm so sorry babe! Sending love" followed by heart broken emojis.

Other stars included Mollie King, former member of the girl band The Saturdays and Great British Bakeoff star Candice King. Stacey also posted videos and a further tribute to Theo, where she shared lots of happy memories, to her Instagram story.
