Stacey Solomon's subtle last-minute change to her wedding dress to make it totally perfect

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have been sharing details of their wedding day after tying the knot in a stunning ceremony at their house in Essex. The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! stars got married at their family home, affectionately known as Pickle Cottage, last month.

Ahead of the nuptials, Stacey, 32, kept her 5.3 million Instagram followers up to date with the wedding progress. The mum-of-four, who is well known for her DIY hacks around the home, did much of the preparations herself.

In the lead-up, Stacey gave her pergola a wedding "glow-up" with a lick of paint and a floral display, transformed an old mirror into a welcome sign, and added bows to her baby daughter's shoes so they matched her own. And now it's been revealed that Stacey even worked her DIY magic on her gorgeous bridal gown.

Stacey chose a wedding gown from Verona Bridal for her big day. The X Factor star opted for the brand's Jessica dress - which is described as a "stunning A-line, waist-high, corset-style, marble-design tulle gown".

And now the owner of Verona Bridal, Marie Therese Hickey, has told OK! Online how Stacey had her own part to play in customising her princess gown. According to the publication, Stacey decided to change her dress ever so slightly by adding a pair of delicate tulle off-the-shoulder straps.

And Stacey's hands-on approach to her special day didn't stop at her custom dress straps as she also sought to make edits on a stunning headpiece so it would perfectly match with the champagne and golden colours of her gown.

"We wanted to get it to perfectly complement her sparkling dress so that everything would tie in," Marie Therese told OK! Online. "Her dress also had this gorgeous 3D applique floral design on it, so she adored this ivy 3D floral headpiece that we brought over too, and we added some custom gold leaves to it just to bring in a bit more of Stacey’s charming Pickle Cottage personality."
