Stacey Solomon's spoon storage trick impresses fans - but some have big issue with it

Stacey Solomon uses her Instagram to post adorable photos of her beautiful family and to share funny life moments with her fans.

But one of her recent stories has started a huge to debate online and she ended up having to explain herself to some unimpressed followers.

She shared a snap of her whipping up a shephard's pie for dinner, but rather than looking at the tasty contents of her saucepan viewers were distracted by her spoon.

Many were completely baffled by the placement of it, as she had slotted it into the hole saucepan's handle.

Her trick means the dirty spoon doesn't make a mess on the work surface when you put in down between stirs - genius!

While many were impressed with the hack, saying they had never thought of it before, others weren't convinced.

Stacey received so many comments that she used her next story on the social media platform to explain herself.

Filming herself speaking to the camera she said: "I've had a few people messaging me about my spoon.

Fans spotted the spoon straight away (Instagram)

"I'm sure that is what this hole is for! You stir and then you just put it back in the hole. That's the whole point of the hole!"

She later shared another photo of her kitchen set-up with the message: "I'm sure that's what this whole is for isn't it?

She seemed very surprised by the confusion (Instagram)

"What's the point of the hole otherwise?

"I only wish my utensils were all thinner so they'd go all the way through."

She also shared a photo of the inside of her very, very tidy cupboard (Instagram)

Presumably after being sent more messages from people saying the hole is to hang your puts and pans up, she posted yet another photo.

She wrote: "Obviously another reason for the hole is to hand your pans up but I bet the person who invented the hole did it for the spoon, the hanging is just a happy accident."

Regardless of what the hole was designed for, we're definitely going to be giving this a go - thanks Stacey!
