Inside Stacey Solomon's finished nursery after going from drab beige to pink paradise

Stacey Solomon is preparing to welcome her fourth child, her first baby girl.

And the excited TV personality - who is known for her love of DIY, upcycling and crafting - revealed to her favs, via her Instagram account, this week how she has completed the room that will belong to her mini-me.

Going all out for the new arrival, Stacey, 31, renovated the room in the mansion, she and husband-to-be Joe Swash recently purchased, with a pink theme and added several lavish touches to ensure the space is fit for the little princess.

Proving that the Loose Women star is hopeful that her daughter will be a girlie girl, the former X Factor contestant decided to complete the interior with floral flourishes - including creating a stand-out flower wall with faux roses.

Stacey spent hours glueing the artificial blooms to produce the eye-catching decor and finished of the area with a large mirror in the centre.

Preparing for nights up with the newborn, the ITV favourite also dedicated a space for nursing which included a plush pink velvet chair covered with a canopy.

Stacey decided on placing the nappy changing area nearby the window and placed a flower mobile above.

Keeping with the floral touches, the changing mat is covered in a fabric decorated with a flower design and baskets filled with baby essentials are stored nearby.

A white cot is placed in the room as well as cute artwork on the walls and a pink wardrobe filled with items for the new arrival.

Stacey also swapped the carpet for grey wooden flooring and added a white rug atop, she also added panelling to the walls before coating them in candy floss toned paint.

Alongside the gallery of the finished room, Stacey proud of her DIY work typed: "Our Baby Girl's Room - done."

She then added a sweet message to her tot and shared how she cannot wait to give birth.

Stacey continued: "To my Darling daughter, I’ve loved every single second of making this special place for you. My whole heart, and soul is in this room and I would do it all again if I could.

"I can not wait to bring you home here and show you everything. I can not wait to hold you, cuddle you, sing to you, feed you and put you to bed in here. I’m so proud of everything in here and it’s been the best feeling making it and I’ll miss being covered in pink paint.

"We can not wait to see you little one. To the moon and stars and back again princess, we love you."

The room looks totally different to how it was before Stacey got busy with her paintbrushes and furniture.

Before the makeover, the room featured beige walls, a worn-out carpet and the space was in need of some TLC.

Stacey’s incredible nursery makeover comes after the expectant mum admitted that she was relieved when a nurse told her her baby was perfectly healthy after she became concerned when other people told her that her bump was very small.

She went for the scan this weekend and was relieved to find out her baby is the right size.

Stacey shared the update on Instagram , apologising to her followers for being absent for a couple of days.

She wrote: "Sorry I've been so quiet. We've spent the weekend checking in on princess pickle.

"All is OK and we got to see her this morning to double check everything.

"Feeling so grateful that she's happy, comfy and safe in there.”

Stacey went on to share a scan picture of her baby and mention her bump size, admitting she was concerned all might not be well.

She wrote: "Lots of people have said my bump is very small, and it really is measuring at 2% instead of 20%.

"But thankfully baby is exactly where she needs to be today despite my tummy size. Every pregnancy, every bump and every baby is different."

The star also insisted that people should stop commenting on pregnant women's baby bumps as the remarks made her extremely fearful.

She added: "As kind as people are I think sometimes it's important to remember when telling someone they look 'big' or 'small' or anything inbetween it can be so worrying for the mummy growing a human and why they look so different to someone else.

"And can be really scary. I know people don't mean any harm by saying 'you're so petite and tiny' but it definitely has played on my mind a lot and made me worry.”
