Stacey Solomon's clever trick to get her kids eating fruit in lockdown

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon has lifted the lid on how she is persuading her kids to eat fruit during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Loose Women star, 30, told her 3.1million Instagram followers that sons Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven, will be spending some of Easter with their dads.

And the mum-of-three revealed how she had transformed fruit into fun animal shapes for the youngsters' car journey.

She shared snaps of bananas shaped like dolphins which had mouths drawn on the outside plus fins and a tail, crafted by peeling the skin.

Stacey wrote in the caption: “Not my best work. But they needed to be portable for the car journey.”

It's not the first time Stacey has given food a fancy makeover to inspire her kids to eat it .

She has previously shared a snap of a peacock-shaped fruit platter, which included grapes, blueberries and avocado.

Yesterday Stacey proudly displayed her curves as she splashed around in a paddling pool to celebrate her son Rex's first birthday six weeks early.

She made the most of the unexpected sunshine as she and husband Joe Swash decided to give their son baby Rex, aged 11 months, an early birthday present.

The loved-up pair decided to lap up every inch of today's sunshine by blowing up an inflatable swimming pool for little Rex to splash around in.

Stacey and Joe have lived at their home in Leighton in 2018.

In a video published on Instagram earlier this month, Joe, 38,  explained how he and Stacey are managing during the coronavirus  lockdown because they get to spend time together as a family.

He said: "When we first realised how much work the kids were being sent home for us to help with, we were intimidated. But we are in a good groove at the moment.

"It's a really bad situation for everybody, but you've got to try to make the most of it and see the positives. We get to spend a lot of time with our family, we're very lucky.

"We've just got to stay indoors, it's for the greater good."
