Stacey Solomon has shown off a new £30 hack that will save you a fortune on buying a new carpet.
The savvy and creative mum of three couldn't resist giving the ultra cheap solution a go rather than buy brand new flooring.
The Loose Women presenter and singer's cream carpet in one of her rooms had seen better days and Stacey decided to stay up late last night to try out a home solution.
She told fans at 10:30pm: 'Thought I'd try and dye my carpets. They're so gross and beyond cleaning repair so I thought before I buy all new carpet, I'd give this a go for 30 quid.
"Even if it comes out awful, I've had a lot of fun tonight, so it was worth it."
Stacey then used her spray gun machine to coat her carpet in grey paint, and she admitted: "I do have issues but how satisfying is this?"
As she showed off the difference after she sprayed some of the paint, she said: So it's going to take another coat a few days to dry and then I need to deep wash it.
"As soon as it's done, I'll let you know exactly what I used, what I did, and if it worked and if it was worth it or not - at the moment I can't tell at all."
Stacey's nocturnal activities were noticed and one fan remarked: "Stace, I love ya, dyeing your carpets at 10:30pm at night." To that, Stacey replied: Yeah, I don't know what possesses me to do this either if I'm honest, yet here we are."
Today Stacey checked out her handiwork and admitted it was 'very patchy in the middle' but she offered: "I'm hoping the second coat will work. If not I'll just put a big rug in the middle. The edges are great."
