Stacey Solomon reveals her son's surname as he returns home after horror fall

Stacey Solomon was overjoyed to have her toddler son Rex home after he had surgery following a horror fall at home.

The Loose Women panellist kept a vigil with two-year-old Rex after he hurt his lip at the home he shares with Stacey, dad Joe Swash and his two older brothers.

Rex, who needed stitches, has since bounced back and Stacey announced on Instagram "I got my pickle back" - her affectionate nickname for the toddler.

His tiny hospital wrist band was on display in the picture and it showed that their son has a double-barrelled surname, meaning he is named Rex Toby Francis Solomon-Swash, reports the Mirror.

Back at home a relieved Stacey shared a video clip of Rex excitedly running towards his brothers Zach, 13, and Leighton, nine, in the garden.

"There really is no place like it," she penned.

The doting mum, who is expecting her fourth child, was feeling emotional as she posted a picture of all three of her sons together with Rex grinning for the camera.

"I know I'm extremely over tired right now but my hormones can't take these three right now," she wrote.

"That's the biggest smile I've seen on his face all day.

"You just wouldn't think any of today happened. We love you pickle bum."

Rex was born on May 23 2019.

Explaining his name at the time Stacey said: "Rex because our boys think he sounds like a T-Rex. Francis is Joe’s Nanna’s name and Toby is my Nanna’s name."

Explaining the accident Stacey said she and fiance Joe had realised it was not an 'up you get situation.'

"He hurt his lip so we took him to A&E and he got some butterfly stitches put on," she said.

The toddler had to keep his temporary stitches in while he waited for surgery.

"But he was so good," Stacey said of her son. "He didn't make a sound.

"He was like, 'yeah, fix it' to the doctor. He was so good."
