Stacey Solomon rapped by Advertising Standards over misleading Instagram ads

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon has been hit with complaints by the Advertising Standards Authority.

The former X Factor star, 30, is a well-known social media presence - so much so that even Michelle Obama even shared one of her posts on her Instagram.

However, the mum of three has been the subject of a number of complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.

The body has revealed to Mirror Online that nine complaints have been made against the girlfriend of Joe Swash.

They said: "We received nine complaints from members of the public challenging whether three posts on Stacey Solomon's Instagram story were obviously identifiable as ads."

The authority revealed that there were three brands that were identified in the ads.

These were a Micha Lounge tracksuit, shabby2chic boutique's washing machine soap, and an Infantino Squeeze Station, which serves as a baby food making product.

The Advertising Standards Authority also explained what action had been taken in response to this, including contacting Stacey herself about the oversight.

"We contacted Stacey who told us that the ads were no longer online as the Instagram stories had expired," they revealed, "but that they would ensure future posts would be clearly labelled as ads."

It was recently revealed that Ms Solomon is set to make a million pounds this year from her lucrative job and her brand collaborations.

A report from The Sun claimed that she earns £3,000 for every episode that she appears on Loose Women based on her £315,900 profit in the last tax year and had appeared in 103 episodes of the ITV panel show.

Her 3 million followers on Instagram also have ensured that her deals with brand sponsorship are guaranteed to reach a devoted fan base.

Stacey also recently shared her lockdown beauty regime for coping with the coronavirus pandemic and all for less than £9!

"I discovered it years ago in Australia and it's still my all-time favourite," she told her followers.
