Stacey Solomon proves she really is like the rest of us when it comes to parenting

Stacey Solomon has proved she really is just like the rest of us, especially when it comes to parenting.

The 30-year-old mum-of-three revealed what bedtime is usually like with her children - and it's probably no different to anyone else.

The TV star, who first appeared on our screens in the sixth series of X Factor, lives and has a child with her partner, actor and television presenter Joe Swash.

As well as being mum to Rex, Stacey also has sons Zach, 12, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships, while Joe also has another son, Harry, from a previous relationship.

Stacey appeared on Loose Women via video link on Friday alongside host Christine Lampard and panelists Jane Moore and Kelly Bryan, who were all in the studio.

Christine said: "Now, bedtime. You might think a nice cup of cocoa, slipping into crisp white sheets and sweet dreams. Well, that doesn't happen if you're an exhausted parent does it?

"It's been revealed children waste up to four hours a week on bedtime delays."

"Is that it?" Stacey asked.

"And up to three excuses a night to stay up later," Christine added.

"Stacey you've got three, they are all different ages, how do you manage it?" Christine asked.

Stacey admitted: "I don't if I'm honest with you Christine. Bedtime is a shambles. My middle child Leighton will always fall asleep no later than 7.30pm, 8pm maximum. He gets so tired and falls asleep.

"Zach is a teenager and I just cannot get him into bed for love nor money. We end up having to bribe and use treats, presents and the prospect of gaming hours to get him to bed. And Rex has only just started going through the night.

"Now that they are back at school, it's got a lot easier because they are so exhausted from being at school and being stimulated all day. That has helped. But I pray for bedtime. Sometimes it gets to 4pm/5pm and I get a little tear in my eye and I think 'a few more hours Stace and they are going to be asleep'."

Loose Women airs week days at 12.30pm on ITV.
