Stacey Solomon planning two weddings this summer with massive post-Covid bash

Stacey Solomon has been sharing some exciting details about her upcoming wedding to Joe Swash - revealing she's planning two ceremonies so they can celebrate in style once Covid restrictions are lifted.

The pair have been engaged since Christmas Eve when Joe surprised the Loose Women star with a diamond ring as they took a romantic walk in the woods by their house.

After being engaged for just over two months, Stacey is going full-steam ahead with their wedding plans, with celebrations being planned out over two separate occassions.

Stacey said that she is trying to stay as positive as possible that she will become a 2021 bride and is making a variety of plans to suit a number of eventualities.

Larger weddings with more than 30 guests are anticipated to go ahead from late June, in plans outlined by Prime Minister last month.

However, Stacey and Joe say they are prepared to have their special day before restrictions are lifted - even if it turns into a more intimate ceremony.

"If worst comes to worst and we can only have a wedding of six, then we will get married with those special people," she told Hello magazine.

Stacey explained that she and husband-to-be Joe are also planning a larger ceremony for later on in the year for those who can't attend their original nuptials.

"Joe lost his nan during lockdown and you see what the funeral is like, you see how many people miss out and it's just not a nice situation to be in," she explained. It's hard and everyone has been affected by the pandemic in some way," she said.

"But I am really excited. We're just waiting to hear what Boris says about the whole situation because if the vaccines and testing are going well then maybe there'll be an opportunity to have more people later this year. For now, we're planning a small wedding and then will do another ceremony later on when everything's settled."

Joe proposed on Christmas Eve last year in the woods close to the couple's house.

Stacey said afterwards: "It's my happy place. I lose myself and breathe in every second of it because to me it's just what life is about."
