Stacey Solomon explains why she hasn't left the house in a month in honest post

Stacey Solomon has admitted that she still hasn't left the house almost a month after giving birth.

The Loose Women host said that she was worried something bad would happen to the son she shares with boyfriend Joe Swash if they stepped outside and preferred to remain in the safety of her own home.

And while she's yet to venture out after welcoming Rex on May 23rd, Stacey said she was making some progress as she tried on a baby carrier.

Sharing a snap of her posing with Rex in the harness, the telly star said hopefully: "Trying this on for size."

"We haven’t ventured out for a walk yet but I’m definitely coming round to the idea! A change of scenery and putting on clothes that consist of a material that isn’t pyjama is starting to feel appealing," said Stacey.

She told her followers: "I don’t know why I feel so weird about leaving the house. I never felt like this with Leighton. I just have these weird thoughts that someone might see us all vulnerable, or that it might be too dirty outside, or that there might be some kind of air born virus going around outside my front door. Haha! Believe me I am totally aware of how crazy that sounds. But hey ho hormones are a crazy thing (I hope it’s that anyway.)

Stacey then said she just needed to 'bite the bullet and get out there.'

The mum-of-three said she'd downloaded a new app that connects you to other new mums in your local are in the hope that would help encourage her to make a move.

Stacey explained: "I love the thought of surrounding myself with people who are hopefully feeling the same... I’m excited our first adventure into the big wide world, well maybe not world but at least a 1 mile radius of my house!

Her feelings about going outside aren't the only precaution Stacey has taken since her birth.

Earlier this month she told her 1.8million followers how she'd held back from revealing Rex's name until his due date after he was born two weeks premature.

Sharing a black and white snap of him snoozing, she explained: "Rex Toby Francis Swash. Due today, born 23.05.2019 on my Mummy’s birthday. Rex because our boys think he sounds like a T-Rex . Francis is Joe’s Nanna’s name and Toby is my Nanna’s name .It's taken us this long to announce the name because for some strange, probably hormone and post birth related, reason I didn’t want to do it until his official due date."

Stacey is currently enjoying her maternity leave from Loose Women and will return later on this year.
