Stacey Solomon emotional as son Rex, two, rushed into theatre for operation

Stacey Solomon shared her worries as her son was rushed into theatre for an operation.

The Loose Women star, 31, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday morning to share a picture of herself nervously waiting around while her two-year-old boy Rex prepared to go into surgery.

Last week Rex was rushed to hospital after suffering a "nightmare" fall at the family's mansion Pickle Cottage and hurting his lip.

He has been in and out of hospital over the last few days, and the toddler had to have an operation on Thursday.

In her post, Stacey shared a snap of herself watching Disney's Moana, Rex's favourite film, on an iPad.

The photo showed Rex, who was dressed in a tiny hospital gown and was wearing a hospital bracelet, lying on her lap.

Rex's giant cuddly bunny toy and one of Stacey's beloved fake potted plants was on the table next to them while they watched the film.

Stacey was sipping a cup of tea, no doubt to help calm her nerves.

"He's gone in, " Stacey captioned the snap, adding a big eyes emoji.

"Thinking of all the mummies, daddies and carers and extremely brave pickles who have to do this all of the time."

"It's not nice at all," she went on, adding sad face and black love heart emojis.

"You're amazing, honestly, you really are."

Rex's took a tumble in the garden of Pickle Cottage in Sunday, and Stacey originally thought it was nothing.

"But we looked and realised it was not an 'up you get situation,'" she told her Instagram followers.

He hurt his lip so we took him to A&E and he got some butterfly stitches put on."

"I'm going back today to get some proper stitches because it's in a really awkward place," added Stacey.

She said Rex was "so good" and "didn't make a sound" after hurting himself.

She admitted it had been difficult to make sure the toddler kept his temporary stitches in while he waited for surgery.

His accident came just days after Stacey announced that she is expecting her fourth child, her second with her fiancé Joe Swash, with whom she shares little Rex.

She is also mum to Zachary, 13, and nine-year-old Leighton, while Joe shares son Harry, 13, with an ex-girlfriend,
