Stacey Solomon 'crying with happiness' after 'wonderful' baby shower

Stacey Solomon celebrated the impending arrival of her first child with boyfriend Joe Swash with a “wonderful” baby shower attended by family and friends.

The Loose Women panellist said she couldn’t “begin to describe” how much she had enjoyed the special event, which was attended by the likes of Ashley Roberts and Andrea McLean.

Solomon, who is already mum to Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven, shared a string of photos from the lavish celebrations, posing in front of a flower wall and showing off towers of macaroons.

Apologising to her Instagram followers for the stream of “baby shower spam,” she wrote: “I can’t begin to describe what a wonderful day I’ve had. Thank you to everyone who made my baby shower so special!

“I am such a lucky lady. Love you all to the moon and back! Me and bump are in our element! And apologies in advance for all of the shower spam that’s about to follow.”

The former X Factor contestant also posted a sweet shot of her younger son planting a kiss on her baby bump, describing the snap as her “favourite picture ever.”

“I feel on top of the world,” she continued, writing: “I am so privileged to have such an incredible family and friends. I will be forever grateful for the memories from today.

“Love you all to the moon and stars and back again.”

Solomon thanked her friends and fans for the “lovely messages” and “well wishes” she has received so far, revealing that she keeps “getting emotional “ and “crying with happiness” while attempting to reply to them.

Joe Swash announces girlfriend Stacey Solomon's pregnancy

The TV star and Swash confirmed they are expecting their first child together in February.

“I can’t begin to describe how happy we are to be able to share this wonderful news,” Swash wrote on Instagram, adding: “We’ve been so blessed with 3 incredible children that we’ve had the privilege of raising and we are forever grateful to have the chance to become parents to another wonderful child.

“It’s very overwhelming and emotional and we couldn’t be happier right now.”
