Stacey Solomon confesses she checks Joe Swash's phone but not because she's suspicious

Stacey Solomon has confessed she would “openly” check her boyfriend Joe Swash’s phone but not because she’s suspicious over cheating.

Solomon, who is pregnant with her first child with Swash, admitted that she browses through photos on his phone but wouldn’t delve into his messages – although joked she probably wouldn’t think anything of it anyway.

“I would openly go on Joe's phone,” Solomon said on Loose Women. “I wouldn't go through his message. He would go on mine and I wouldn't think anything of it.

“I go through his photos, I go on his Instagram see what he's done and think, 'Oh you've had a nice day'. I mean, I know there are more interesting things to read.”

Solomon, 29, added: “I would probably stumble across a message from a lover and think 'oh that's lovely... this Susan sounds nice!”

The former X Factor star, who has been dating Swash, 35, since 2016, and her fellow Loose Women panellists had been discussing a recent study which claims more than a third of Brits would admit to snooping on their partner’s device and social media to find out whether they were cheating.

Findings included four in 10 people admitting looking at their other half’s mobile at least once a week while others found one in five men would wait until their partner was asleep to unlock their mobile with their fingerprint.

ITV host Christine Lampard, married to Chelsea legend Frank, also confessed that she would be “straight on” the ex-footballer’s phone if she had suspicions he was cheating.

“We know each other’s passcodes and our phones are out all the time. I couldn’t be bothered, I genuinely wouldn’t think of looking because I don’t feel insecure about anything,” she said.

“But if I had a tiny little niggling doubt, I’d be straight on, no bother. If I had to, I would.”

Earlier this year, Solomon and Swash announced that they are expecting their first child together and recently admitted that they are keeping the sex of their unborn child a secret within the family.

“We found out, we’re really impatient!” Solomon told OK! Online. “We’re not going to tell anyone because it’s not important, but we are excited.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
