'Superhuman' Stacey Solomon tells fans she 'can't function' in updates on struggles of being a mum again

Stacey Solomon has told her fans she feels "superhuman" - but "can't function" - in updates on social media about how she is coping after the birth of her fifth child.

The TV presenter became a mum for the fifth time in February after giving birth to daughter Belle.

Stacey, 33, took to her Instagram story to post a mirror selfie of herself in pyjamas holding the five-week-old tot before going to bed. She told her 5.6 million followers: "I managed to express four ounces through today.

"So me and Belle are having an early night and daddy is taking over the 2am feed and hopefully we feed again at 5/6." Alongside a crying laughing emoji, she continued: "Honestly, I can't function at the moment.

"So I'm excited to hopefully not feel like a zombie tomorrow. Happy Sunday everyone. Lots of love from us."

In post on Insta she wrote: "Don’t mind if I sound big headed but I felt like a superhuman today. For some reason lately I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job and I never tell myself how well im doing.

"Three 3 and under and two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy. Joe did a night feed for me last night and then went to work, so we did the school runs and then afterwards I managed to make it for the first time EVER to Rhyme time at the library with Rex, Rose & Belle.

"Spent some time with other mums and felt so nice to see Rex and Belle enjoying being out of the house. Then we stayed out as long as we could, came home, played play dough shops.

"Did tuna pasta dinner and this evening was swimming lesson for Rexy. Now we are home and I’m ready to collapse on the sofa and start the cluster feeds.

"Sorry for the essay, but basically Just a little reminder that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not. You’re so incredible don’t forget to tell yourself that sometimes."

The Loose Women pannelist is married to ex-EastEnders actor Joe Swash, 41, with whom she shares baby Belle, one-year-old Rose and three-year-old Rex. She is also mum to 10-year-old Leighton and 14-year-old Zachary, who are from previous relationships.

The former X-Factor contestant married Joe, who is also a dad to Harry, 15, last year. Her post is the latest in a series of frank updates in which she gives fans a glimpse of her busy family life behind closed doors.

She previously told her Instagram followers how exhausted she felt a month after giving birth. In a sweary message to "anyone who has ever felt like 'oh my gosh, it looks like they've got their **** together and I really haven't'" she said: "Please don't feel like that. You're doing an incredible job.

"I know it looks like I've just gone straight back to normal as if I never gave birth, it feels like that if I'm honest, but it's only because of the whole sleep when she sleeps, make sure you take time to rest and recover, don't do anything too quickly, goes all out the window when you've got a one-year-old!

"So I just want you to know, don't underestimate the fact that it's incredible this age gap, three, one and zero, I'm so grateful to have three young babies that can grow up together.

"I can assure you, 100 per cent of the time I feel absolutely ******. You're not alone."
