Stacey Solomon has responded to fans after she revealed her maternity would be coming to an end very soon.

Last week, the Loose Women star marked her daughter turning three months old but it came with a tinge of sadness for the mum-of-four.

"I'm actually so sad that three months has gone by already. I'm so grateful to have had these beautiful months but why oh why does it go so quick..."

Stacey, who welcomed baby Rose with fiancee Joe Swash on her own birthday in October last year, admitted that she loves her job, but had nerves about her return.

Now, Stacey has spoken directly to fans after 'so many' asked her why her maternity leave is only three months.

Speaking to the camera while breastfeeding her baby girl, Stacey told her 4.7 million followers: "So many people are messaging me this.

"I know it's not long enough. I could be in this bubble forever and ever," she explained.

"But I've got one of those weird jobs where you never know if you're going to get work or not and nothing's guaranteed so you've just got to make the most of any opportunity that comes along.

"And also, a lot of my contracts are 12 months contracts that i squeezed into nine months so I could have the three months off and I don't think I could squeeze them into any less," Stacey laughed.

She went on to explain that her first job back is with Manchester fashion brand, InTheStyle, for what she said is a 'special' collection she has spent a year working on.

"Ultimately, I'm just so lucky and privileged that I've got a job to go back to, let a lone a job that I absolutely love," Stacey commented.

She was also quick to praise those she works with for being supportive over her breastfeeding as she 'doesn't want to give it up.'

Stacey gave birth at the family home Pickle Cottage back in October after Stacey initially went to hospital to be checked over.

After returning home, Rose was ready for her arrival into the world and community midwives quickly arrived to help.

The baby girl joined the couple's son Rex, two, Stacey's two older sons, Zachary and Leighton, and Joe's son Harry, from previous relationships.
