Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are planning to get married in a "few months" after getting engaged on Christmas Eve.
Stacey returned to the Loose Women panel for the first time today since their engagement and revealed all about the romantic proposal and their upcoming wedding plans.
While Stacey was in the studio, Joe surprised her by video-calling into the show so they could discuss their happy news together and they revealed the big day will hopefully happen this year.
Earlier in the show, Stacey recalled how the big moment unfolded and said: “We were all in the house, it was Christmas Eve, I had made everyone wear gnome jumpers. We go for a walk in the woods behind our house everyday, it’s been a saviour in lockdown… and Joe was like, ‘Come on, we’ve got to go for a Christmas Eve walk.’ I was like, ‘Yeah yeah, don’t worry’ and all of a sudden he started getting really frantic about it, saying ‘It’s getting dark!’”
“We get out the house in this big huff, we’re walking along and he had someone put these white roses around these two trees that the boys always run through. I was like, ‘Oh my god, I think someone has passed away in our woods.’ He was like, ‘Come on let’s have a look, let’s pay our respects.’”
She went on to reveal when she knew something special was about to happen and said: “As soon as he said my full name, he said ‘Stacey Solomon’ and I was like, it’s happening, it’s finally happening to me. And that was it.
"He got down on one knee and then I got really ugly crying face. He was like, ‘What you are going to say?’
"I must not have said yes for ages because he was just down on the floor and I kept going, ‘Come on get up now!’ And he was like, ‘Well will you?’. He said, ‘Boys, what should she say?’ Then I was like ‘Yes, yes, yes, get up!”
Asked if she has already started planning, she said : “I was planning this for years. I have started a scrap book, it is like meditation, it is something to look forward to... Who knows if it is going to happen this year with everything that is going on, but just to have something in sight for the future.”
Joe said: “I would have been devastated if she’d said no. I hoped after five years and having a baby together, she was going to say yes. But I was so nervous.

"We have had such a tough year, me and Stace privately, with losing people, my nan and stuff like that. I just thought I have wanted to do it for a long time and there is no better time than right now. It was lovely because all the boys were there and they got to see it.”
That said, Joe admitted he is shocked by how soon Stacey wants to walk down the aisle.
He said: “To be fair, I didn’t think we were going to get married so soon, I thought I would have a couple of years grace, but by all accounts we are going to get married in a few months.
"I think Stacey is really keen to do it this year, I am really keen as well because it has been a really tough year and I can’t wait for her to be my wife."
