Stacey Solomon admits she discovered something 'scary' when checking son's phone for porn

Stacey Solomon has admitted that she frequently checks her sons' phones for porn - and that she has discovered "scary" content in the past.

The Loose Women star, 30, is mum to sons Zachary (12), Leighton (eight) and Rex (one).

Today, the panel had been discussing the subject of children watching explicit content online.

Joined by Ranvir Singh, Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha, the panelists watched New Zealand's new advert encouraging parents to talk to their children about porn.

Asked what she thought it was a good advert, Stacey said that she did but, at the same time, asked for more support "from everywhere else".

"If there are sites showing this content, can they not be regulated?" Stacey asked. "Can they not be fined by the government if people are not showing ID and are not old enough to use their services?

"Is there not more that they could be doing?"

She also blasted the advert as a "bit of a cop-out".

"We're constantly checking their phones, making sure they're having the right conversations, trying to be there all the time, but we can't," Stacey said. "They might go to a sleepover and see something that we don't want them to see."

Ranvir asked whether she had seen stuff on her kids' phones.

"I will openly go down to the kids' devices and go, 'I'm just going to have a look'," she said. "But they've got restrictions on. I can only do so much.

"They're young boys and they're eventually going to be exposed to this stuff but whether they come to me, I don't know.

"But I've been on Zach's, my eldest son's, WhatsApp groups and even at this age at 12, they share stuff and I'm like, 'Oh'.

"It's not porn at this stage yet, but it will be something really scary and I think, 'I need to have a conversation with him'."
