Stacey Dooley likes tweets about 'making happiness a priority' after ex Sam Tucknott claims she's dating Kevin Clifton

Stacey Dooley has suggested that she’s “making [her] happiness a priority” and removing herself from “people & situations that threaten [her] peace of mind” after her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claimed that she has been secretly dating her former Strictly partner Kevin Clifton.

The documentary maker liked a pair of inspirational tweets from the account @loafocus, the first of which read: “Maturity is learning to walk away from people & situations that threaten your peace of mind, self-respect, values, morals or self-worth.”

The second read: “Make your own happiness a main priority.”

The 32-year-old, who won the Strictly Come Dancing glitter ball with Clifton in 2018, parted ways with Tucknott earlier this year.

Earlier this month, the personal trainer told The Sun that he saw a text message from Clifton on Dooley’s phone which read “I love you” while clearing out their shared flat following the split.

“The blame is with Kevin. He’s an absolute rat,” he told the paper.

“I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo.

“Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton - ‘I love you’ with a red love heart. I grabbed the phone and confronted her. She said she’d tell me everything I need to know.”

Dooley addressed her ex’s remarks shortly after, stating that there are “two sides” to the story and wishing her former partner “happiness and success.”

“Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story,” she wrote in a Twitter statement.

“I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here.

“Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward.”

She and Clifton are yet to speak out about their rumoured relationship, though Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood has since branded the supposed romance a “success story” for the BBC dance show.

“It will be another Strictly success story,” he told The Sun. “I never call it the Strictly curse, I call it the Strictly blessing.

“People need to fall in love. I hope they live happily ever after.”
