Stacey Dooley jokes she and Kevin Clifton are 'so dull' in rare comment on relationship

Stacey Dooley joked to the Loose Women today about how she thinks she and boyfriend Kevin Clifton are "so dull."

The Strictly Come Dancing champ and her pro partner Kevin got together after their win back in 2018, and quickly became one of UK showbiz's most recognisable couples.

And they've been a couple for two years now - but Stacey reckons interest in them has fizzled out.

She told the panel: "I did [struggle] initially, I did at the start. I didn't realise there would be such an interest, particularly with who I fancy and who I'm dating. I thought that was dull for everyone else."

Stacey added: "Now, Kev and I have been together for two years, so no one's really that fussed anymore, and we're so dull!"

The documentary film-maker - who was chatting about new show Stacey Stays Over - also chatted about her imposter syndrome, the feeling that one doesn't belong where they are.

"I'm riddled most of the time with imposter syndrome," she shared.

"Then you have to remind yourself if they didn't think you were capable, they wouldn't have you in. I'm always really thankful for that. I love my job, I love what I do for a living. I feel really lucky."

Meanwhile, Stacey recently told that she doesn't think marriage is a priority, and that she'd be more interested in starting a family with him.

"I can't think of anything worse than being a Tradwife," she shared, "I would be useless, completely and utterly useless."

And she laughed: "He'd divorce me in a heartbeat."

Soon Stacey's due to get a glimpse into a devotedly religious life as she draws back the veil on the world of nuns.

She'll be cut off from the modern world for her new film, explaining at a BAFTA Q&A: "Alice [Bowden, executive producer] and I are reunited and we’re doing a film in a convent. So this was borne out of [Stacey Dooley] Sleeps Over actually because I really wanted to go and live with some nuns.

"But we're thinking, 'Well, is that a family dynamic or is that a different idea?'

"So, yeah, different idea and I really can’t wait."
