Stacey Abrams commends Joe Biden for recognizing harassment claims

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams responded to former Vice President Joe Biden's video on the claims of harassment Wednesday, praising him for recognizing his mistake and affirming change in the future.

"I think the vice president has acknowledged the discomfort that he has caused. He has created context for why that is his behavior. And he has affirmed that he will do something different going forward. And I think that's what we should be looking for.”

What she's saying: The public is "going to find out something about everybody running for office whether it's for the presidency or for school board," she said on "Morning Joe."

  • "We have to as a people be ready to forgive, but forgiveness does not mean you accept it unless what you see is accountability and an attempt at reformation."

Axios has previously reported that Biden advisers considered naming Abrams as his VP choice out of the gate, but Abrams said she is not joining his ticket.
