Popular streamer StableRonaldo has called out MrBeast over his recent Team Water charity stream, accusing the YouTube star of “forcing millionaires” to donate on air and making things awkward for fellow creators.
In a clip shared on X, StableRonaldo criticizes how MrBeast handled donations from wealthy streamers during the Team Water broadcast. He specifically brings up FaZe Rug, claiming MrBeast pushed him to increase his contribution live on stream.
“You asked Rug to donate, he said he’ll donate $10k, then you said it wasn’t enough, so you made him donate more,” Ronaldo says in the clip, calling the situation “weird.” He adds that he agrees with fellow streamer Jynxzi’s earlier comments about how uncomfortable the charity stream felt to watch.
Jynxzi calls MrBeast’s Team Water stream ‘excruciating’
Ronaldo’s comments echo a separate clip from Jynxzi, where the streamer describes MrBeast’s Team Water event as “one of the most uncomfortable weird streams of all time.”
In the video, Jynxzi says MrBeast was “pressuring people into donating to Team Water,” even while acknowledging that the campaign itself is “a great cause.”
Jynxzi points out a deeper concern about how credit and recognition work in these kinds of charity drives. “If TeamWater raises 100M… who gets the credit, who’s going to make the tweet? MrBeast,” he says, arguing that while many creators are chipping in on stream, MrBeast ultimately ends up as the public face associated with the total.
“We’re all donating, he’s getting all the credit… but we’re all getting pressured in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” Jynxzi adds, calling the viewing experience “excruciating” despite saying he doesn’t really care since the money still goes to a good cause.
Community is split over streamers’ reactions
StableRonaldo and Jynxzi fans argue that even wealthy creators shouldn’t be forced to give more money live on stream, especially when millions are watching and social pressure is so much higher.
One user under Ronaldo’s clip said, “Finally someone said it. Asking for charity is one thing, but pressuring millionaires on a LIVE stream just to hit a milestone is a power trip. Jynxzi was visibly uncomfortable and Rug basically got bullied into giving $15k. If you have to force people to give, is it even charity anymore?”
One user criticized Jynxzi by saying, “Jynxzi is such a jealous dude. MrBeast ain’t getting the credit all to himself. Just because Jimmy sends a tweet doesn’t mean he’s getting it all. Everyone involved in that stream shared the credit. MrBeast is the most unselfish content creator on this planet, and to hear Jynxzi say that bullsh*t really rubbed me the wrong way. It’s not a good look for you, Jynxzi.”
Coming to the credit part, MrBeast clarified under Jynxzi’s clip, “We were streaming in front of hundreds of thousands of people and the clips got millions of views so they did get “credit”. Regardless, I don’t feel bad for asking multi millionaires publicly to help people drinking dirt water get access to clean water so they can live longer.”
While MrBeast has built his brand around philanthropy, these moments show that not everyone in the creator space is comfortable with the way those numbers are achieved or who ultimately gets the spotlight.
