The man who was brutally attacked with a machete on Wednesday night near Finglas garda station is said to be linked to the Blanchardstown school shooter.
The man, who is in his 40s, was rushed to hospital after being targeted by members of a rival gang as part of an ongoing feud in Corduff.
He was attacked on Liam Mellows Road and subsequently staggered his way into Finglas Garda Station, covering the station in blood.

The man is reportedly closely linked to the shooter involved in an incident in Blanchardstown last week.
His associate is a man in his 20s who fired shots outside a west Dublin school on April 2.
The incident took place at 3:40pm at Riversdale Community College as parents were getting ready to collect children.
The shooting saw students locked in their classrooms as gardai hunted down the gun man but no one was injured in the incident.

The stabbing victim is said to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an attack that's reportedly linked to an ongoing feud in Corduff.
A source said: “This man was dropping in clothes to a relative who was in custody in connection with an investigation into a feud in West Dublin.

“The man, who was totally innocent and was doing his son a favour, suffered stab wounds on the road outside.
“Gardai have a suspect in mind for the stabbing and the injured man is being cared for in hospital.”
