Stabbing victim, 33, dies on same night another man is knifed in London street

A man has died two days after a "seemingly unprovoked" stabbing in London - on the same day another man was knifed just a mile away.

The first stabbing took place at 3.09am on Saturday in Stamford Hill, north London.

The 33-year-old man was knifed in the leg and was treated at the scene by medics, before being taken to a north London hospital, where he died on Monday.

His next of kin have been informed, although a formal identification has yet to take place.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

Another man in his 30s was stabbed in the leg about a mile away, near Finsbury Park Station, at around 7.37pm on Monday night.

The victim was rushed to hospital, where his injuries were deemed non life-threatening.

The Metropolitan Police has made no arrests in either case.
