A young man was rushed to hospital on Monday night after a stabbing in Dundalk, Co Louth.
It's understood the man, believed to be in his 20s, is in a serious condition after receiving stab wounds to his back.
He was found on the street at Oakland Park estate after the attack at around 10.20pm.
The victim was then taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he is being treated for serious injuries.

A garda spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "Garda are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the Oakland Park area of Cox's Demesne on 29/7/19 at approximately 10:20pm.
"A man, aged in his 20s, was found on the ground in the area with apparent stab wounds to his back.
"He was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Investigations are ongoing."
