Stabbing in Dalkeith street as man rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing in Dalkeith on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services rushed to Cowden Crescent just before 7pm after a 39-year-old man was found seriously injured.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 6.55pm on Tuesday, 7 September, 2021 following the report of a man being found injured on Cowden Crescent, Dalkeith.

"Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2964 of 07/09/21."
